Amoria Bond & Project Peru Partnership

For almost a decade, the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust has supported the community of Las Laderas, Peru through numerous projects and initiatives. The biggest of which was the building of 101 houses over 7 years, which now home more than 500 of the region’s most vulnerable families and have literally transformed peoples’ lives;

This is like a dream. Having a solid floor and roof means my children won’t get ill from the cold & damp. Thank you from our hearts” Another mother said: “We don’t know how to say thank you enough. Life is tough for us here and this home means we are safe and secure & I can go out to work

We’ve also built two soup kitchens which feed hundreds of people every day and provide ongoing funding for the utilities that they rely on to operate.

By employing local workers on all our projects we also provide employment for the many labourers and builders who live locally.

We have developed a strong and enduring relationship with the community leaders and families of Las Laderas, and with our long term charity partners there, Project Peru, who help us co-ordinate the distribution of hundreds of Christmas hampers and other supplies donated by the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust on a regular basis.

Las Laderas is an incredibly impoverished part of the world, but we have always been struck by the wonderful generosity and hospitality of its community. Volunteer employee teams from Amoria Bond who’ve travelled to the area to help with our building projects have always been warmly welcomed, particularly by the children and staff at Project Peru’s Children’s Refuge where we lodge during our trips, and which itself is funded entirely through charitable donations and fundraising.

One of my best experiences with Amoria Bond was the opportunity to support The Amoria Bond Charitable Trust. I spent time in Peru and helped to build houses for deprived families. This has been one of my most significant life experiences.

All employee volunteer trips to Las Laderas are 100% self-funded by the employees themselves; they gave up annual leave, paid for their own travel and living expenses, and raised at least £1000 each towards project building costs.

In addition, hundreds of Amoria Bond employees, friends, family-members, suppliers, candidates and clients have donated time and money to help fund our projects in Peru and ensure their success.

As a long term supplier and consultancy-partner with Amoria Bond, I have volunteered my time and energy to the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust initiative in Peru over a number of years. Amoria Bond are making a difference to people's lives!

Through the trust, Amoria Bond is committed to continuing to support the community of Las Laderas and our friends at Project Peru to ensure we create a sustainable, lasting impact … it’s a legacy that everyone at Amoria Bond and all our generous supporters over the years can be proud of.
